Grimentz
Built in the 15th Century, Grimentz is one of the most charming villages in the Valais. It's cobbled streets are lined with bars and restaurants and many of the original farm and chalet buildings still remain. The 55kms of high-altitude piste are uncrowded, and soon to be extended by a further 70kms when the cable-car link to nearby Zinal is complete.
